Bob Hopkins has been farming wine grapes on his family’s ranch off Eastside Road since the 1970s. We have been lucky enough to purchase S.B. from Bob since 2013. We made this wine from a block of clone 1 Sauvignon Blanc that was planted in 2016. 2024 was our fourth year sourcing from this block, and we were able to pick the grapes with moderate brix levels and achieve Sauvignon Blanc flavors with low alcohol and great acidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVintage:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThe 2024 harvest was an ideal growing season, especially in the weeks leading up to harvest when cooler temperatures prevailed. We started to see mature flavors as the brix approached 20-21 and decided to harvest shortly thereafter, capturing great natural acidity. The finished wine expresses tropical fruit flavors, noted citrus, and subtle grassy notes typical of the variety.
