High-toned and floral, offering steeped raspberry and peach fruit flavors, with almond blossom and orange zest accents. Sleek and racy on the palate, this mouthwatering white drives through to the finish, where a creamy hint of crushed almond, fleur de sel and shortbread round out and provide richness. Drink now through 2026. 200 cases made, 45 cases imported.

Kelder used to be a component in the Family White, but has now been elevated to single vineyard status. Planted in 1968 on decomposed granite, it’s a linear, crunchy, appley and boiled sweets flavoured Chenin Blanc with undertones of aniseed and nutmeg spice. 2019-26. 

The 2018 Kelder is pure whole-bunch-pressed Chenin Blanc aged in 1,200-liter foudres . It has an impressive bouquet of pressed yellow flowers, grilled hazelnuts and chalky aromas billowing from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and more "attack" than the Family White 2017 tasted alongside, conveying a sense of energy and precision on the finish. Excellent.
