This monopole is a single lieu-dit of 1.39ha located at the foot of the slope called l'Hermitage. The richness of the site produces a lovely, deep plummy fruit with savoury and mineral notes, and a pleasant floral edge. There is good depth of flavour and density on the palate, with a tannic line that leads to a pleasantly lingering finish.

One of the finest renditions of this cuvée in recent times, the 2020 Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Digoine bursts from the glass with aromas of raspberries, rose petals, orange rind and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, with an ample core of bright, perfumed fruit framed by fine, youthfully chalky tannins, it's beautifully balanced and will age with grace in the cellar.
