Named after Alvina Pernot's grandfather, the 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Epée has a pleasing strictness on the nose, well-defined with Golden Delicious, freshly sliced pear and subtle white peach scents. The palate is taut and fresh with fine acidity, quite sapid with a very subtle creaminess towards the finish. Clean, pure and quite delicious.
