The 2021 Thörnicher Ritsch Kabinett feinherb "Gackes unten" offers a clear, pure, fresh and fascinating slatey/flinty nose with intense white and spicy fruit and iodine, almost chalky aromas. Crystalline and saline on the palate, with vivacious acidity, this is a dense and intense, firmly structured and seriously long Kabinett with grip and tension and promising aging potential. This is an excellent and complex, terroir-driven Kabinett. 10% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in October 2022.
