The 2020 Carmenere Viñedo Escorial was produced with a selection of the best plots of Carmenere from their vineyard. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and aged for one year in egg-shaped cement vats. It's classical, reflecting the house style for elegant wines, but not without power, peppery and spicy, perfumed, even floral, ripe and full-bodied, with 14.5% alcohol and good freshness. It was bottled completely unoaked. Carmenere tends to behave well in warm vintages... 3,200 bottles were filled in November 2021.
