Hildegard from Au Bon Climat has long been one of my favorite domestic white wines. Produced as an homage to the heritage varietals of Corton-Charlemagne, and Named after his wife, this blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Aligote carries the depth and minerality of the modern Chardonnay based wines of Burgundy. The refreshing notes of white flowers, citrus, and melon are brought into beautiful contrast with notes of hazlenut and confectionery crust. Though great on release, these wines have tremendous ageing potential! - Dee Duff

The 2022 White Hildegard Estate is superb. This blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Aligoté fared exceptionally well in this vintage. Orchard fruit, citrus peel, white pepper and slate lend notable cut. This vibrant, steely white marries freshness and textural resonance. It's one of the top wines here in 2022.
