Mirabelle plums and acacia blossoms are woven into the fabric of this creamy and elegant St.-Peray. Flinty freshness right through the very long, pure finish. Should age really well. A cuvee of 90% marsanne and 10% roussanne. Drink or hold.
A blend of 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne from south-facing vines planted on granite soils, the 2023 Saint-Péray has a completely seductive bouquet of white flowers, honeysuckle, anise and spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive with a round, fleshy profile, it's long and ethereal, concluding with a delicate, perfumed finish. Bottled just after the 2024 harvest, it was matured in 10-year-old foudres, concrete tanks and one new demi-muid (600-liter barrel). The wine had malolactic fermentation.
Stone fruits, peach blossoms, and delicate floral notes emerge from Clape's 2023 Saint-Péray. Medium-bodied and fresh on the palate, it has a supple, seamless texture with integrated acidity and outstanding length. With an almost cool-climate-like vibe, it's best enjoyed over the coming 2-4 years. Drink 2025-2029.
Mixing 90% Marsanne with 10% Roussanne, the 2023 Saint-Péray shines with lemon flesh, jasmine, cedar and toasty nuances. Touching the palate with elegant flavor concentration, the refreshing 2023 rounds off with a touch of wet stones on the uplifting finish.
