The 2021 Chardonnay Bien Nacido emerges from own-rooted vines planted in 1973. Airy and gracious in feel, the 2021 is super-expressive right out of the gate. Lemon peel, candied lime, mint, white flowers and light tropical accents are all nicely lifted. Acid and saline notes punctuate the finish. Bien Nacido Chardonnays are often more forthcoming, but the 2021 is decidedly taut
