There's a touch of orange peel on the nose along with notes of tart red fruit. Despite the lightness and delicacy there is concentration on a creamy palate, where lemon and strawberry play off each other. The finish reveals even richer citrus on this subtle wine.
This pale rosé has attractive dried-strawberry and gently nutty overtones that create a complex, fresh and attractive impression. The palate delivers a very approachable and attractively round style with a super fresh strawberry finish. Drink now.
This bottle of Paillard's NV Rosé Première Cuvée was disgorged in January 2018 after 36 months sur lattes. It's a bright, tensile extra brut Champagne, offering up aromas of crisp red berries, tangerine and freshly baked bread. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, racy and incisive, with brisk acids, a fine mousse and a taut, chalky finish. To my palate, this classy rosé will really reward a bit of bottle age, as it's decidedly tangy and tight-knit today.
An elegant rosé, marrying a firm backbone of acidity and a creamy mousse with flavors of crushed white cherry, toasted almond, orange pâte de fruit and pastry. The clean-cut finish is lightly toasty and lingering.
Paillard's NV Extra Brut Rosé Premiere Cuvée is beautifully perfumed and gracious. Light on its feet, the Rosé Premiere Cuvée is done in a light, refreshing style that is best suited for drinking before a meal or with lighter foods. Cranberry, white pepper, mint and chalk add to a feeling of savoriness and freshness.
