The 2022 Chablis Les Fourneaux 1er Cru Ante MCMLXXX has a well-defined bouquet of apple peelings and crushed limestone. Seaspray comes through with aeration. The palate is well-balanced, with more bite and nerve than its peers, with orange rind and fresh pear and hints of ginger towards the finish. This is one of the better wines from Fourneaux this vintage. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
