 Cool and airy aromas of petrol, citrus rind and green apple precede racy, delicious and well-detailed middleweight flavors that conclude in a lightly mineral-driven, youthfully austere and balanced finale. This understated effort exhibits sneaky good length and is a wine that should amply repay mid-term cellaring.

After heavy losses, first to frost and then to hail, there's very little of the 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Varambon to go around: a mere 14 hectoliters per hectare, to be precise. The resulting wine is a success in this challenging year, exhibiting aromas of white flowers, citrus oil and pear, followed by a medium-bodied, satiny and precise palate, concluding with a slightly evanescent finish.
