Donkey & Goat are pioneers in the California Natural Wine community. The founding winemakers spent a year training under Eric Texier, famed organic winemaker in the Rhone Valley, and that DNA still runs through the winery today. This Ramato (copper) Pinot Gris is the perfect bridge between the depth and structure of red wine, with the brighter floral nature of a rosé. This Pinot Gris was biodynamically farmed, then spontaneously fermented with seven days skin contact before ageing in neutral oak. This wine is a textural experience, with notes of dried apricot, rhubarb, hibiscus, and herb de Provence. A great warm weather substitute for heavier red wines! - Dee Duff
