The 2019 Chardonnay Ryo-fu shows why this vintage is so magical for Chardonnay. Tangerine peel, mint, spice and tropical accents all soar out of the glass. The blend is 50% Charles Heintz, 27% Scarby and 23% Keefer, with the characteristic exotic nuances of Heintz really driving the flavor profile. The 2019 is rich and heady, yet retains terrific energy. It's a gorgeous wine and a terrific value in the world of high-end, artisan Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. -- Antonio Galloni
