The 2016 Brut Millésime Carte d’Or is a very pretty, focused Champagne. The blend is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, yet the Chardonnay really dominates in both its flavor profile and airy, rather lifted feel. White flowers, mint, crushed rocks, lemon peel and a whole range of mineral inflections build into the chiseled, beautifully persistent finish. Superb. Disgorged: December, 2021.
