Discreet though perceptible wood frames fresh, ripe and layered aromas of black cherry, cassis and poached plum, along with enough earth influence to mention. The dense, muscular and moderately powerful larger-scaled flavors brim with dry extract that helps to buffer the firm tannic spine shaping the youthfully austere and quite serious finale. This is also a very fine Gevrey villages though one that will require at least some patience.
