So perfumed and dreamy with flowers, citrus and hints of stone. Medium-bodied, this has fine tannins and lovely fruit in the caressing center-palate. The fresh, vivid finish ends with a bit of muscle. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Etna Rosso Moganazzi has come together beautifully over the last year. This is explosive today, with a vivid mix of incense, clove and cinnamon stick that gives way to crushed blood orange and dusty black cherry notes. Its energy impresses first, washing across the palate with a soft and supple nature as depths of ripe red berry fruits slowly infuse the senses with a fresh, citrusy hint. Long and structured yet still accessible, the 2022 finishes with amazing concentration. This deserves an upgrade. 

The Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2022 Etna Rosso Moganazzi is 100% Nerello Mascalese from a two-hectare vineyard at 700 to 750 meters in elevation on the prized north side of the volcano. It offers big intensity and broad flavors of dark fruit, spice and campfire ash. That spiciness is what sets this mid-weight wine apart. It closes with softly layered fruit tones. This is a 5,000-bottle release.
