Join us for our second monthly Sommelier Series this Saturday, July 19th from 1-4 PM.This month, learn and taste with Russell Burkett. Russell has had a lengthy career working for some of Dallas’s finest restaurants, including Café on the Green at the Four Seasons, Al Biernat’s, Steel Restaurant, Nana Restaurant at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, and SER Steak and Spirits. In 2008, Russell worked the wine harvest at Ramey Wine Cellars in Healdsburg, California. In February of 2012, Russell was one of nine sommeliers nationwide selected to compete in the prestigious Raymond Vineyards “Sommelier Selection” blending competition for the 2010 bottling. In September of 2013, he was elected to the Dallas Sommelier Society Board of Directors. Russell is a Certified Sommelier and an Advanced Sommelier Candidate having completed the Advanced Sommelier Course in February 2014. Russell plans to achieve Advanced Sommelier ertification in the fall of 2015.
