This mezcal is produced by Tio Pedro Vasquez in Lachigui, El Palmar, Oaxaca. The first release of this exquisite and lively mezcal (Edition 1) took place in 2017, using agave harvested in 2016. Only 120 bottles were available in the first release, and the initial batch has an ABV of 50.1%.
"The flavor is complex and earthy, with pleasant spicy and fruity elements. After multiple sips, you begin to taste spicy cocoa and caramel. With another sip, you may notice some sweet BBQ steak flavors. The aroma initially has a slightly woody and herbal quality, reminiscent of some of my favorite karwinskii profiles, before gradually introducing fruitiness. The taste starts off savory, becomes fruity, and finishes off with a rich, earthy note."mes fruity, and finishes off with a rich, earthy note."
