A more reserved yet even more complex aromatic profile offers a broad spectrum of fruit types along with game, warm earth, underbrush, smoke and wet stone, all of which add depth to the intensely soil-driven big-bodied, powerful and serious flavors blessed with excellent amounts of dry extract that completely buffer the very firm tannic spine on the lingering finish. As good as the Bressandes is, and it is indeed very good, there simply appears to be a supplemental dimension present here.
