Ohmine 3 Grain Omachi Junmai Daiginjo:

Having just celebrated World Sake Day, and having a chance to sample over 60 Sake, one in particular stood out among the crowd, Ohmine 3 Grain Omachi Junmai Daiginjo. This is a versitle Sake that is capable of impressing while chilled or warm, a trait that goes well with the cooler fall weather. It is made from Omachi Rice which gives the sake its nose of Pine Nuts to go along with the fruity Lychee and Yellow Peach notes when chilled. When you warm the sake, you bring about scents of Raw Sugar and Jasmine. The Ohmine 3 Grain is also versatile in food pairings, working great with rich stews, roasted duck, grilled mackerel, or a light caprese salad. Kampai

2022 Comando G 'La Bruja de Rozas'

Dani Landi and Fernando Garcia both were born and raised in the mountains just outside of madrid, known as the Sierra de Gredos. After finishing college they moved back to their home town and in 2008 they launched their own winery, Comando G. The Sierra de Gredos is famous for their Garnacha (also known as Grenache in France) which, while typically bombastic and opulent when grown elsewhere, is lighter bodied, elegant, and has an energy that is reminiscent of some of the greatest wines of Burgundy. The La Bruja de Rozas is the perfect wine to drink as an introduction to the region, with the grapes being sourced from multiple vineyards around the village of Rozas. On the palate, there are classic Garnacha red fruit notes of cherry and raspberry, enhanced by subtle lavender, anise, and fine tannins.
