Cazcanes Tequila is produced in the highlands of Jalisco with a strong focus on traditional methods and additive-free production. The brand takes its name from the Cazcan people, an indigenous group that once inhabited the region long before tequila became one of Mexico’s defining spirits.
Production takes place in Atotonilco El Alto, an area known for growing Blue Weber agave with natural sweetness and aromatic intensity. The agaves are harvested at maturity and slowly cooked to develop their sugars before fermentation and careful small-batch distillation. Water sourced from natural volcanic springs in the region is used during proofing, contributing to the tequila’s clean, mineral-driven character.
Cazcanes has earned a strong following among tequila enthusiasts who value transparency and traditional production. The lineup highlights the natural expression of highland agave, from the bright clarity of the Blanco to the layered depth of the aged expressions.
