Rezpiral Mezcal

Rezpiral is one of the most thoughtful mezcal projects in Oaxaca today, built around long-term relationships with independent mezcalero families and a deep respect for traditional production. Founded by artist and agave advocate Alex White, the project bottles tiny batches that highlight the individuality of each producer, village, harvest, and agave varietal, with many releases totaling only a few hundred liters. Rezpiral also shares a significant portion of proceeds directly with its mezcalero partners while supporting agave propagation and long-term sustainability efforts in Oaxaca. Series 9 marks ten years of the project and brings together an extraordinary lineup of bottlings from some of the region’s most respected producers, featuring a wide range of agaves including Tepextate, Arroqueño, Sierra Negra, Pulquero, Jabali, and traditional field blends. Every release offers a distinct snapshot of Oaxaca’s living mezcal culture, shaped by regional farming, fermentation, distillation, and the hands of the families behind the bottles.
