Morgadio Albarino Rias Baixas 2023

Morgadio has a unique history of experimentation which predates the establishment of the Rias Baixas DO. There are 99 acres of Albarino under vine, with an average age of over 40 years. The sandy soils of the steep terraced vineyards have a strong Atlantic influence, highlighting the minerality of the Galician terroir. The wine is bursting with fresh acidity and minerality, with notes of tart fresh-cut pineapple, white peach, lemon-lime sorbet, white flowers, and a dash of salinity. Pairs fantastically with ceviche, white fish, and late summer pool parties.

Tatsuriki Tokubetsu Junmai Sake "Oyster's Friend"

The ageless wine advice of "Grows together, goes together" rings true in the Sake world as well. Tatsuriki's Tokubetsu Junmai "Oyster's Friend" might be the best example of this. It is crafted in Hyogo Prefecture near the mineral rich water from the Ibo River where oyster farms abound. Tatsuriki has created the perfect Sake pairing for these wonderfully delicious mollusk. It is crisp and refreshing with hints of banana, jasmine, and rice pudding with a finish of minerality. While it will pair well with any and all seafood...follow the name and pair this with Raw Oysters, Fried Oysters, or the classic Oysters Rockefeller.
