Aberfeldy 21 Year Argentinian Malbec Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A limited-edition Highland single malt, this 21-year-old Aberfeldy brings together the distillery’s signature honeyed character with a distinctive Argentinian Malbec cask finish. Distilled on November 14, 2001, the whisky matured for more than two decades in a combination of refill barrels and hogsheads before spending approximately eight months in French oak casks sourced from Finca Ambrosia, a single-estate winery in Argentina’s Uco Valley. The casks were personally selected by Aberfeldy Malt Master Stephanie Macleod in collaboration with Finca Ambrosia winemaker Daniel Pi.

The Malbec finish layers Aberfeldy’s rich, rounded malt with an expressive mix of fruit and florals. Aromas of toasted cereal, ripe strawberry, Highland honey, sage, and rosemary lead into blackcurrant, rose, violet, and cinnamon. The palate develops additional dark-fruited notes reminiscent of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, alongside cocoa and gentle spice, before settling into creamy vanilla on a long, smooth finish. Bottled at 46% ABV.
