At 15 years the ripe fruity notes of our spirit are becoming more refined and fragrant. It is a sensorial maturity that opens the door to flavour exploration. Balancing the delicate elegance of our new make spirit with the boldness resulting from maturation in European oak sherry-seasoned casks, demands a skilful precision. It is a demand met with firm conviction by our Master Whisky Maker, through an unrivalled understanding of how our new make spirit uniquely matures. The result is a marriage of the delicate and the bold. A seeming contradiction which works in harmony to deliver the bright sweet spice of The 15.
Description

The Glenrothes 15 Year is a Speyside single malt matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks, a hallmark of the distillery’s house style. Bottled at 43% ABV and carrying a natural color, this age-stated expression showcases the rich fruit and elegant spice that have made The Glenrothes one of Speyside’s most respected producers.

The nose opens with aromas of baked orange, dried apricot, vanilla, and warm baking spices. On the palate, layers of ripe stone fruit, honey, cinnamon, toasted almonds, and lemon peel are complemented by notes of rich oak and gentle pepper. The sherry cask maturation lends depth and texture while maintaining the bright, refined character that defines the distillery. The finish is long and balanced, with lingering citrus, spice, and dried fruit.

Founded in 1879 in the heart of Speyside, The Glenrothes is known for its slow distillation, exceptional cut points, and focus on sherry cask maturation.
