Pogo's Wine Education Series: Northern Spain
For our next Wine Education Series with Master Sommelier James Tidwell, we're heading to Northern Spain where we'll be exploring the regions, grape varieties, and winemaking traditions that make this part of the country so interesting.
From the Atlantic influence of Galicia to the warmer, drier regions farther inland, we'll look at how geography, climate, and generations of winemaking have shaped the wines we know today. We'll also explore the differences between traditional and modern approaches, and how those choices show up in the glass.
This will be a seated tasting featuring 11 wines, accompanied by a selection of cheese and charcuterie. James will guide us through each wine, sharing the history and context behind it, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
