Luis Pato Vinhas Velhas Vinho Branco 2024

A benchmark producer in Portugal, Luis Pato helped modernize the Bairrada region while championing its native grapes and bringing it to the global stage. The Vinhas Velhas Branco 2024 blends Bical, Cercial, and Sercialinho, offering bright notes of pear, green apple, and citrus, layered with white flowers and a subtle almond touch. A crisp mineral backbone and lightly textured, leesy finish keep it fresh and engaging. A classic example of coastal Portuguese whites done right.

Hundred Suns Bednarik Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

Hundred Suns was founded in 2015 by Grant Coulter and Renee Saint-Amour.  Grant worked at Beaux Freres for many years but it was always his and Renee's dream to have their own winery.  The name "Hundred Suns" refers to the 100 days between flowering and harvest in a growing season.  The philosophy here is Burgundian style with Oregon fruit as well as elegance over power.  The Bednarik vineyard is all own-rooted and the wine has beautiful strawberry, cranberry, and sour cherry notes with hibiscus tea and tangerine.  It has a long length with silky tannins. They only make about 125 cases of this wine each year, so grab a bottle and enjoy with grilled salmon and roasted potatoes.
