Carboniste Sparkling Chardonnay V23 "Whale"

Carboniste makes Sparkling Wines that are unapologetically Californian. They are not trying to replicate Champagne, just the best California Sparkling they can make from the best grapes from the best sites. The Whale V23 is a bold and rich example of this philosophy down to earth philosophy. It is made from 100% Chardonnay fermented with native yeast and aged up to 30 months in neutral barrels. You will find amazing aromas of apple, pears, and yuzu, and experience of lush lemon curd on the palate. This is a perfect to share with friends while enjoying lighter summer dishes with fresh fruits, grilled vegetables, vibrant citrus, baby arugala, and juicy chicken, while listening to the music of Jon Batiste.

McPherson Cellars Picpoul Blanc Texas High Plains 2025

Right in time for Summer, we have the 2025 vintage of McPherson Cellars lip smacking Picpoul Blanc. The name itself speaks volumes, Picpoul translates to "lip stinger" do to it's elevated acidity. Texas is one of my favorite regions for this grape, as I think our ample sunshine does wonders to transcend the sometimes two demensional nature of the varietal. The 2025 vintage has notes of honeydew, pear, lime yogurt, a hint of hazelnut, and a pop of salinity. This crisp refreshing white pairs well with grilled sausage, carnitas, grilled chicken, or trout. Fire up the grill and enjoy a bottle poolside!
