Caitlin Peter's Pick
Bruno Rocca, Fralu, Langhe Nebbiolo 2023
The Rocca family has farmed the hills of Barbaresco since the 1950s, earning a reputation for crafting elegant Nebbiolo from some of the region’s most prized vineyards. Fralù—named for Bruno Rocca’s children, Francesco and Luisa—offers a fresh, approachable expression of the grape from younger Langhe vines. The 2023 is bright and aromatic, with notes of red cherry, raspberry, and rose petal, lifted by subtle spice and a gentle earthy minerality. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity keep it lively and food-friendly—an easygoing Nebbiolo with more charm than a Nancy Meyers movie.

Melanie Kaman’s Pick
White Walnut Estate Pinot Noir 2023
White Walnut Estate is named after the walnut trees that grow on the estate. The winery is certified organic and biodynamic and makes really beautiful Pinot Noir. Intense and vibrant with red forest berries, pomegranate, blood orange, and hibiscus. This is so juicy and fruit driven, but with a lifted citrus freshness and some dusty tannins. Medium bodied with great tension, it's a pure expression of Pinot.
