March 30th Picks: Provence Rosé + Margaret River Cab
A fresh start to spring, with a textured, savory Provençal rosé alongside a polished, value-driven Margaret River Cabernet built for the table.

Clos Cibonne Cotes de Provence Rose Cuvee Tradition 2023
Spring is here and that means its time to drink some Rosé. The Clos Cibonne Cuvee Tradition 2023 is a great Rosé to kick off the season. It is made with a grape native to Cotes de Provence, Tibouren (90%) and Grenache (10%). This is a limited production wine with an intoxicating nose of Clementines, Roses, and White Pepper. On the palate that is refreshing and crisp, but with deep flavors of Peaches, Ripe Citrus, and White Truffle. This is a great Rosé that can pair with heartier dishes like a Lamb Curry.

Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Margaret River 2022
Margaret River is one of my favorite regions in the world for Bordeaux varietals, and Leeuwin Estate, which was one of the founding vineyards in the region, represents one of the best values we currently carry in Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2022 Prelude Vineyards Cab is a shockingly well made wine for this price point, with primary notes of fresh blackberry, black currant, dark cherry, black olive, and cocoa, supported by a graphite core, with lavender and herbes de Provence on the finish. This is a go-to pairing for me with all manner of beef dishes, from burgers to bourguignon.
