Few vintners have shaped Napa Valley and beyond quite like Paul Hobbs. Celebrated for his precision across Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet alike, his wines are known for elegance, purity, and an uncanny sense of place. Now, that legacy finds a new expression as his daughter, Agustine, steps forward with her first release, offering a fresh voice grounded in the same terroir that has inspired her father for decades.

Both Paul and Agustine turn to Coombsville, one of Napa’s most distinctive appellations, where volcanic soils and a cooler climate give Cabernet Sauvignon its hallmark intensity and balance. Yet father and daughter express this terroir in remarkably different ways.

Paul’s 2021 Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon bears the hallmarks of his legendary style: polished structure, deep layers of black fruit, and the kind of balance that promises longevity in the cellar.

Agustine’s ALH Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon 2022, by contrast, introduces a vibrant new perspective. Her debut release is fresher and more expressive, with lifted aromatics, brighter fruit, and softer tannins that invite enjoyment even in its youth. Where Paul’s bottling speaks to refinement and experience, Agustine’s captures the energy and perspective of a new generation.
