Braulio Amaro (1L)

Braulio Amaro is a historic Italian amaro produced in Bormio, a mountain town in the heart of Lombardy’s Valtellina region. First created in 1875 by pharmacist Francesco Peloni, it is crafted from a closely guarded blend of Alpine herbs, roots, berries, and botanicals, many of which are sourced from the surrounding Stelvio National Park. After blending, the liqueur is aged in large Slavonian oak casks, allowing its flavors to develop exceptional balance and depth.

The palate is richly herbal yet remarkably refined, offering notes of pine, juniper, mint, gentian, wormwood, alpine flowers, and citrus peel layered with hints of spice and soft wood. Its bitterness is firm but never aggressive, giving way to a long, clean finish with refreshing mountain herb character.

Bottled at 21% ABV, Braulio is traditionally enjoyed neat, over ice, or with a splash of soda as both an aperitif and digestif. Its distinctive Alpine profile has also made it a favorite among bartenders looking to add depth and herbal complexity to modern cocktails.
