Drouet Cognac Muscat de Rivesaltes Cask Finish 9 Year (700ml)

Produced by the family-run Cognac Drouet estate, this limited-edition Cognac comes from Petite Champagne and was distilled from the 2011 vintage. It was traditionally matured for six years in Drouet’s cellars, followed by an additional 35 months in casks that previously held Muscat de Rivesaltes from Domaine des Schistes in France’s Roussillon region. The resulting Cognac is approximately nine years old, with only 800 individually numbered bottles produced.

Amber in color, it opens with generous aromas of caramelized pear, cinnamon, dried fruit and speculoos spice. The palate is warm and silky, with almond paste leading into ripe grape, apricot and sultana notes derived from the Muscat cask maturation. Rich fruit and pastry-like flavors remain balanced and rounded, followed by a long finish marked by crushed hazelnut.
