Pertois-Moriset 'Chouilly' Grand Cru Extra Brut 2018 (750ml)

The Pertois-Moriset Chouilly Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs 2018 is a vintage Champagne made entirely from Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs. Sourced from vines averaging 58 years of age, this limited-production cuvée showcases the limestone-rich soils and distinctive minerality of Chouilly.

The wine is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel (78%) and oak barrels (22%), bringing together freshness, precision, and texture. Following 48 months of aging on the lees, it was disgorged in April 2023 with an Extra Brut dosage of just 1.5 g/L. Only 3,464 bottles and 171 magnums were produced.

In the glass, it offers aromas of ripe pear, apple, white flowers, toasted hazelnut, and candied citrus, with subtle notes of brioche and frangipane. The palate is fresh and focused, with lively acidity, a rounded texture, and a long, mineral-driven finish with a touch of salinity.

An excellent match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, or delicate fish dishes, this Champagne also pairs beautifully with creamy poultry preparations and soft cheeses such as Brie de Meaux.
