Boulard XO is the synthesis of all aromas present in each of our Calvados. It presents a perfect balance obtained by blending many crus of Calvados Pays d'Auge aged 6 to 15 years.
Description

Boulard Calvados XO is a richly layered Norman apple brandy produced in Normandy, where the Boulard family has been crafting Calvados since the 1800s. Made from carefully selected cider apples and aged extensively in oak, the XO designation reflects long maturation that brings added depth, spice, and refinement to the spirit.

The nose opens with baked apple, poached pear, vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, and baking spice alongside subtle floral and earthy notes. On the palate, it is smooth and warming with flavors of stewed orchard fruit, toffee, roasted nuts, cinnamon, dried citrus peel, and gentle wood spice balanced by soft texture and bright acidity. The finish is long and elegant with lingering apple character and delicate oak influence.

Compared with younger Calvados expressions, the XO bottling emphasizes maturity and roundness while still preserving the freshness and aromatic lift that define quality apple brandy. It works beautifully as a digestif after dinner and pairs naturally with aged cheeses, apple desserts, or dark chocolate.
