Producer's Notes

The name Etter is synonymous with Swiss Kirsch, made by the same family since 1870. In this bottle is distilled more than 10 pounds of fresh mountain cherries exclusively of the region surrounding Zug. The brandies gently evolve for years in glass demijohns before bottling. Kirsch is famously enjoyed sipped neat after dinner, or as aperitif mixed with club soda. In cocktails it pairs magically with Génépy. In the kitchen, it's an essential ingredient in a traditional fondue.

Etter Kirsch AOP Zug “Edelweiss” is a classic Swiss cherry eau-de-vie produced in the canton of Zug, one of the historic homes of traditional kirsch distillation in Switzerland. The Etter family has been crafting fine fruit distillates for generations, and this bottling reflects the precision, purity, and regional identity that have made Swiss kirsch world-renowned.

Made from carefully selected cherries grown within the protected Zug AOP region, the spirit is distilled with remarkable attention to preserving the fruit’s natural aromatics and delicate structure. Unlike sweet cherry liqueurs, kirsch is completely dry and crystal clear, emphasizing freshness and purity over sweetness. The nose opens with bright cherry, almond blossom, marzipan, wildflowers, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is vibrant and elegant with flavors of fresh stone fruit, cherry pit, citrus zest, and faint earthy minerality carried by a silky texture and long, focused finish.
