Description

Fanny Fougerat Le Laurier d'Apollon Vendanges 2010 Cognac is a single-vintage, grower-produced Cognac that beautifully captures Fanny Fougerat’s vivid, terroir-driven style. Distilled from the 2010 harvest and produced with minimal intervention, it leans far more transparent and expressive than the polished, heavily blended profile many drinkers expect from Cognac.

Sourced primarily from the Borderies and Fins Bois areas, the spirit is aged with a notably restrained hand in oak, allowing the character of the fruit and distillate to stay front and center. The result is a Cognac that feels energetic and detailed rather than dominated by wood or sweetness.

The nose opens with ripe pear, apricot, orange blossom, fresh herbs, honey, candied citrus peel, and soft spice, layered with subtle notes of cedar, tea leaf, and light tobacco as it evolves in the glass. On the palate, it’s supple and vibrant with flavors of orchard fruit, vanilla bean, roasted almond, citrus marmalade, white pepper, and delicate floral notes carried by bright acidity and a silky texture.

What makes Le Laurier d’Apollon especially compelling is its sense of purity and freshness. Even with extended aging, it maintains lift and aromatic precision, showing a more transparent and almost wine-like side of Cognac. The vintage character remains clear, and the oak stays beautifully integrated throughout.
