Fuenteseca Reserva Tequila Anejo 5 Year (750ml)

Fuenteseca 5 Year 2015 is a vintage-dated extra añejo from Enrique Fonseca, built around the idea that tequila can express both time and place. The agave was harvested in 2015 and the spirit was aged for a full five years, well beyond the standard, with a focus on how different barrels and environments shape the final profile.

This is a much more layered and developed style than most aged tequila. The nose is deep and expressive, with cooked agave, brown sugar, and toasted oak, along with notes of dried fruit and baking spice. On the palate, it’s structured and evolving, showing caramel, toffee, spice, and a darker, almost whiskey-like edge, all anchored by a core of roasted agave. The texture is full and coating, with a long finish that leans into both oak and natural sweetness.

What makes Fuenteseca stand out is how deliberate the aging is. Different barrels, storage conditions, and time all play a role, giving the tequila a sense of depth that goes beyond just “more oak.”

This is firmly a sipping tequila. Rich, complex, and built for slow drinking, with enough structure to appeal to whiskey drinkers but still grounded in agave.
