Merlet VS Cognac is an approachable, fruit-forward Cognac from Merlet, a family-owned house with deep roots in the Saint-Sauvant region of Cognac dating back to the 1800s. While many know Merlet for its acclaimed fruit liqueurs, the family has long been growers and distillers in Cognac as well.

Made primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes and aged in French oak barrels, this VS expression highlights freshness and vibrancy over heavy oak influence. The nose shows notes of green apple, pear, citrus peel, white flowers, vanilla, and light baking spice. On the palate, it is smooth and lively with flavors of orchard fruit, honey, soft caramel, and gentle toasted oak.

Merlet VS works well both neat and in cocktails, offering a clean, balanced style that keeps the bright fruit character of young Cognac front and center.
