Whistlepig Beholden 21 Year Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)

WhistlePig The Béhôlden is an exceptionally limited 21-year-old North American single malt whiskey made entirely from malted barley. Released in 2023, it was drawn from just 18 barrels, with each bottled as a single-barrel expression. The whiskey spent 21 years maturing in American oak before receiving a finishing period in WhistlePig rye whiskey barrels, bringing the distillery’s signature rye character to a remarkably mature malt whiskey. It is bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).

Extended maturation gives the whiskey a rich, developed profile of malt, dried fruit, and maple, while the rye-barrel finish introduces additional savory spice and a subtle smoky quality. Aromatically, sweet fruit is joined by cinnamon. The palate layers golden raisin, graham cracker, and black cherry, followed by oak, maple, and praline, with a gentle trace of smoke lingering through the finish.

With its 21-year age statement, single-barrel presentation, and extremely limited production, The Béhôlden represents one of the rarest releases in WhistlePig’s portfolio.
