Chichibu Ichiro's Malt & Grain 111 Proof (700ml)

Ichiro’s Malt & Grain 111 Proof is a high-strength world blended whisky created by Ichiro Akuto at Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. Made specifically for the U.S. market, the blend combines malt and grain whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and the United States with Chichibu’s own Japanese single malt.

The component whiskies range from 4 to 17 years old and are matured in several types of casks, including ex-bourbon and ex-rye whiskey barrels. Chichibu’s own component is a 5-year-old single malt. Unlike the standard white- and blue-label Malt & Grain releases, the 111 Proof also incorporates peated malt, adding a subtle smoky dimension to the blend.

The profile brings together cola, shortbread, and sweet tobacco aromas with candied orange, dried pineapple, tropical fruit, gentle peat smoke, and a saline note through the finish. Bottled at 55.5% ABV, or 111 proof, it is non-chill filtered and bottled without added coloring or other additives.
