Contratto Vermouth Bianco (750ml)

Contratto Vermouth Bianco is a traditional Italian white vermouth produced in Canelli, Piedmont. Contratto began making vermouth in 1920, and the house notes that its original recipes and production techniques have remained largely unchanged.

Made from Cortese white wine, the vermouth is aromatized with extracts from 50 herbs, spices, roots and seeds, 22 of which remain secret. The extensive botanical recipe includes bitter and sweet orange, lemon, bergamot, chamomile, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, mint, gentian, rhubarb, juniper, cinchona, licorice and elderberry.

The botanicals are finely ground and undergo a cold extraction for approximately 20 days before the resulting infusion is blended with wine, alcohol and sugar. After refrigeration and filtration, the vermouth rests in stainless steel for approximately 40 days before release. Fresh, complex and aromatic, it balances citrus, floral, herbal and warming spice notes in a harmonious, classic Bianco style.
