Rums of Mexico Cana Cristalina Marcos Lopez Rum (700ml)

Produced by Marcos López in Cosautlán de Carvajal, Veracruz, Caña Cristalina is an unaged Mexican rum made from fresh sugarcane juice. López is a cane grower and aguardiente distiller who learned the craft from his father and grandfather, continuing his family's tradition of sugarcane distillation in the region.

This bottling is made from Caña Cristalina, a sugarcane variety grown locally in Veracruz. After the cane is harvested and pressed, the fresh juice is fermented and distilled on López's five-plate continuous still constructed from copper and stainless steel.

Bottled without barrel aging, Caña Cristalina offers a direct expression of its particular sugarcane variety and its place of origin. It is part of The Rums of Mexico, a collection created to explore Mexico's diverse cane varieties, regional traditions, and individual aguardiente producers.
