Mezcal produced in San Cristóbal Lachirioag, Oaxaca Maestro Mezcalero Edgar Gonzalez Ramirez Distilled from 100% Warash (Agave sp.), a variety currently unclassified Cooked in a conical earthen pit Milled using a traditional stone tahona Fermented in open-air wooden vats Distilled twice using traditional copper pot stills Rich & juicy mouthfeel, with tons of tropical fruit, citrus zest, a touch of sweat and lively acidity 48.57% ABV (ABV may vary batch to batch) The first mezcalero to attempt distilling the variety commercially, Edgar makes a Warash that is rich and generous, with a thick and juicy mouthfeel offering rolling waves of tropical fruit and bright, citric acidity that ties up the complexity. It’s no wonder Edgar himself refers to it jokingly as 'tutti fruity'!
