Ardbeg An Oa Islay Single Malt Scotch (750ml)

Ardbeg An Oa is a peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Ardbeg Distillery on the southern coast of Islay, Scotland. Named after the Mull of Oa, a rocky peninsula on the island's southwestern coast, An Oa offers a rounder, softer expression of Ardbeg's signature smoky style while retaining the distillery's characteristic intensity and complexity.

An Oa brings together whiskies matured in several different cask types, including Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, virgin charred oak, and ex-bourbon barrels. These components are married in Ardbeg's Gathering Vat, allowing the rich sweetness, oak spice, and classic Islay peat smoke to integrate.

The nose offers aromas of creamy toffee, aniseed, dates, and subtle fruit, accompanied by Ardbeg's distinctive smoky character. On the palate, notes of dark chocolate, orange, treacle, and warming spice develop alongside sweet peat smoke. The finish is long and gently smoky, with lingering aniseed and spice.

Bottled at 46.6% ABV, Ardbeg An Oa is non-chill filtered.
