Pierre Ferrand 10 Generations Year of the Rabbit Cognac (750ml)

Released to celebrate the 2023 Lunar New Year and Year of the Rabbit, this limited-edition expression of Ferrand 10 Générations is a Grande Champagne Cognac made from 100% Ugni Blanc. It pays tribute to ten generations of the Ferrand family and specifically recalls Elie Ferrand VIII, who traveled to Porto beginning in 1872 and experimented with Port-cask maturation. The Cognac is first matured in French oak before undergoing a second maturation in Port wine casks. Only 12,000 bottles were released.

Rich and rounded, it opens with vanilla, caramel, almond, apricot and coconut, accented by orange blossom and nutmeg. The palate develops baked pear, honey, roasted chestnut, cinnamon and creamy white-chocolate notes, while the Port casks contribute additional red-fruit depth. Fig, plum, bergamot, licorice and vanilla linger through the long, creamy finish.
