Rest and Be Thankful Port Charlotte 2009 14 Year Cask 512 Single Malt Scotch (700ml)

Independently bottled by Rest & Be Thankful, this 14 Year Port Charlotte Single Malt was distilled at Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay in March 2009. Port Charlotte is Bruichladdich’s heavily peated style of single malt, and this particular release spent its entire maturation in a single ex-bourbon barrel, Cask #512. Bottled in July 2023 at natural cask strength, it was released exclusively for the U.S. through Glass Revolution Imports and is presented without chill filtration or added coloring.

Bold Islay peat is balanced by fruit and the sweetness of bourbon-cask maturation. The nose brings wood smoke and candied orange, while the palate layers vanilla and ripe pear with assertive peat smoke. The long finish combines lingering smoke with elegant fruit and oak, giving this mature Port Charlotte both power and refinement.
