Niepoort Colheita Port 2013 (750ml)

Niepoort’s 2013 Colheita is a single-vintage Tawny Port from Portugal’s Douro Valley, produced from a traditional blend that includes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão and Tinta Roriz. The grapes were traditionally foot-trodden in lagares before fortification, followed by extended maturation in small, seasoned oak casks. This long oxidative aging develops a layered profile of dried fig, apricot and candied fruit alongside hazelnut, warm spice and subtle wood notes. The palate is rich yet lifted by balancing acidity, with a smooth texture and a long, complex finish. An elegant Colheita to enjoy slightly chilled on its own or alongside almond tart, dried fruit and desserts featuring coffee or vanilla.
