The Single Malts of Scotland Bowmore 15 Year Single Cask Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The Single Malts of Scotland Bowmore 15 Year is an independently bottled Islay single malt Scotch whisky selected by Elixir Distillers. Part of the Single Malts of Scotland collection, this release offers an opportunity to experience Bowmore's distinctive balance of peat smoke, maritime character, and fruit through the individual influence of a single cask.

Founded in 1779, Bowmore is one of Scotland's oldest licensed distilleries and the oldest on Islay. Located on the shores of Loch Indaal, the distillery is known for its traditional floor maltings and a house style that combines moderate peat smoke with citrus, tropical fruit, and coastal minerality. Bowmore's whiskies are generally less intensely smoky than some of their southern Islay neighbors, with a balance of fruit, malt, and peat that becomes particularly interesting with extended maturation.

Aged for 15 years and drawn from a single cask, this expression reflects the individual character of its maturation. Bowmore's signature profile includes aromas of gentle peat smoke, sea breeze, citrus peel, and honeyed malt. On the palate, notes of orchard fruit, vanilla, toasted oak, and warming spice mingle with earthy smoke and subtle maritime salinity. The finish is lingering, with soft peat, citrus, and a touch of coastal brine.

An appealing choice for Islay whisky enthusiasts and collectors interested in independently bottled expressions, this 15-year-old Bowmore is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
